Title: Implementation Services Coordinator
When did you join Connect Telecom and tell us about your day to day role?
I joined Connect in October 2014, hard to believe it’s been 3 years! My day to day role consists of working within Connect Implementation Services as an Implementation Coordinator. My day consists of multiple tasks including organising our team of in-house engineers for One Net site surveys and installation. I arrange these jobs for the engineers, and carry out One Net site surveys, installations and customer training myself.
We are a Strategic Partner of Vodafone, and being part of the highest tier in the Vodafone partner programme means that we speak to our dedicated projects team daily-we would liaise on preparing a customer’s site for One net.
I also liaise with our in house team members; One Net Project Managers, Broadband/fixed line Coordinator and Implementation Engineers throughout the day completing necessary tasks for our ongoing projects.
What skills do you need for that role?
Communication is key! Liaising with many stakeholders to organise different elements of a project means communication is a skill I’ve had the opportunity to develop greatly.
What’s the most rewarding part of working for Connect Telecom?
Completing a One Net installation and seeing the customer experience the benefit of unified communications- the positive feedback we get is communicated across the team which makes the work very worthwhile! Another plus is developing working relationships with customers in various sectors in Northern Ireland, England and Scotland, it’s interesting being made aware of different industries and their communication/business requirements.
And the most challenging?
Working across the UK there is sometimes travel involved to reach customer sites- although it’s nothing an early morning coffee can’t sort.

My first mobile was a Nokia 3310 - which I still have!… Though I’ve upgraded since 😊
